Na Pali Race is a 17 mile paddle race along the Na Pali Coast, Kauai, Hawaii. The event starts at Haena Beach Park and runs along the coastline and finishes at Polihale State Beach Park on Kauai’s westside.

SUP, Prone, Foil, SUP Teams, and Prone Teams start on a the beach in Haena. Entering the races through a flag lined chute participants enter the water and head left toward the Na Pali coastline. OC-1 and OC-2 paddlers will have a standing water start if calm or start further east (to the right when facing the ocean of a designated buoy or escort boat).

Passing many beaches and the the furthest point in sight the 12 mile Milolii mark, the course then makes a slight turn left where the Polihale Beach area will line up in sight.

There will be one main marker body off the shore at Polihale Beach were paddlers will make a left had turn around the buoy and head in towards the finish line chute.  All divisions except the sailing canoes will have their scores taken as they passthrough the end of the finish line chute marked by colored flags. The Sailing canoes will have their scores taken as they pass by the marker buoy off the beach at Polihale.

Due to request we have also added an optional long course of 25 miles to the race. This start will be at Anini and will meet up with the Haena run and continue into the rest of the course. Divisions are OC-1, OC-2, SUP unlimited, Sailing Canoes. There is a short course option for all divisions.
